The Judicial institutions on Estonia are:
• County courts,
• administrative courts,
• circuit courts and
• the Supreme Court.

County courts hears civil, criminal and misdemeanour matters as courts of
first instance.

Administrative courts hears administrative matters placed within the jurisdiction thereof as courts of first instance.

A circuit court is the court of appeal which reviews the decisions of county
and administrative courts by way of appeal proceedings.

The Supreme Court is the highest court in the state. The Supreme Court reviews decisions by way of cassation proceedings.
